She was a mystic and had visions since the age of three. In the monastery she was told to write down her visions and it took her 10 years to write. One of my favorite gifts of this box was a handwritten letter as if Saint Hildegard wrote it herself and it has photos she included while she explains her visions and monastery she lived in! She knew extensively about the faith, music, natural science, medicinal arts and herbs. As a herbalist she researched many herbs and documented their affects on the body. Included are some of her personal recipes and these gorgeous hand towels that say “Bake and Be Glad”. Includes a book to daily pray morning, midday and evening prayers and a journal. Earrings are also included.
